For those of you who I have not had the pleasure to meet yet, my name is Laura Hennig and I’ve known Logan and Maria Campbell for about four years. Since the day I met Logan, he has always been willing to give the shirt off of his back (or socks) to help anybody that needs it. He’s been an ear to talk off, friend to lean on, and a shoulder to cry on. I want to take this opportunity to open the door for all of us to support a great friend/relative/co-worker in a time that he needs us.
In January, Logan was diognosed with Stage 3 Colon Cancer. Initially, his team of doctors believed with the combination of chemo, radiation and surgery, they could rid Logan's body of cancer completely. After three months of treatment and a difficult surgery and recovery, the doctors discovered that the cancer had metastasized to his lung. Because Logan's overall health has declined immensely since treatments began, and he could not make a complete recovery from his surgeries, the least risky option was to begin chemotherapy once again. The hope is to see the mass in his lung and the mass in his colon disappear over the next 4 months of treatment. However, the realistic goal the oncologist has set is to prevent the cancer from spreading any more and then focusing on getting Logan healthy enough for surgery again.
In addition to the stress of worrying about the growing medical bills, Logan and Maria have two beautiful babies that, I don't have to tell you, have a lot of financial needs as well. The funds raised on this page will go towards Logan's medical expenses, as well as providing stability for the the Campbell Family, allowing Logan to put 100% of his attention towards kicking this cancer's ***. The goal is to give Logan peace of mind, as mental health and a positive attitude are crucial to recovery.
I thank you in advance on behalf of Logan and Maria and encourage you to show support in any way you can. We need to show their family that they can count on friends and family, and that they are not in this fight alone!
**I will be giving Logan and Maria all of the account information for this page, and I will have no interaction with the financials.
