Jim's ambulance ride

Hello.
My name is Jim and my wife is Leslie.

Eight years ago I had a dirt bike accident and became an incomplete quadriplegic. An "incomplete quad" has limited use of arms, hands and  legs. Until 2011 I was very high function. At this time breathing difficulties, chronic pain and loss of arm and hand function were quickly getting  worse. Late in 2012 it was determined a poor surgical procedure was to blame and cervical fusion was needed.
In 2013 I underwent the first of two surgeries to repair the damage to my neck.  While this successfully restored diaphragm function and breathing the financial strain was severe. On December 30th I will have the second surgery. This should relieve chronic pain and restore some arm and hand function.
Medicare won't cover the cost of medical transport from the hospital in San Diego to the rehab facility in Loma Linda. I need to raise the funds to cover this and two weeks of lost income.
