GoFendMe: Help Fendi Recover from IVDD
Donation protected
My sister Jamie and her boyfriend Arthur unexpectedly discovered that their beloved 3.5 year old Frenchie named Fendi was diagnosed with stage 5 IVDD, the most severe stage of this condition. Leaving Fendi with a 50% chance of recovering to her normal self.
This tragic condition caused sudden paralysis from the waist down leaving Fendi unable to walk. All of this happened within 24 hours of them noticing Fendi seemed a little sick and acting differently. Just the day before her diagnosis, she was outside playing and having fun as she normally would with her mom and dad.
Due to the severity of her diagnosis, the vets performed emergency spinal surgery to remove the deteriorated discs where they found substantial damage to her spine.
Unfortunately, Fendi is still paralyzed after the surgery, and we pray everyday for her full recovery. For now, we hope to get her fitted for a wheelchair to help with her mobility.
After her hospital discharge, she will have a long haul ahead of her, requiring routine physical therapy and vet visits to help aid her recovery.
Ultimately, Jamie and Arthur are left to pay a hefty vet bill with more to come.
I’m asking for family and friends, or fellow Frenchie lovers to help my family to cover some of their hospital expenses.Thank you so much for your support and love!
