Godfrey and Glory's Wedding
Hi,
I am Don Kilby and I have been asked to fundraise for Godfrey Shayo and Glory John who have the pleasure to announce their marriage to be celebrated on October 2nd 2021 in Arusha Tanzania.
Many of you will remember Godfrey from Kilema Hospital CACHA missions where we first met when he was 8 years old. Godfrey was at the hospital at the end of every mission day for many years, until he was able to volunteer on missions with CACHA at Kilema, Ukerewe and Terrat, mostly working in pharmacy to support the teams by preparing medications.
Godfrey has made friends with many of our CACHA family and has visited Canada alone and with Sr. Clarissa.
I am very proud to announce his upcoming marriage to Glory who will be leaving her work as a civil servant in Dodoma to take on a job in security in Arusha.
Please help us celebrate this day with them. COVID restrictions will limit the scope of the celebration but not the joy and the hope this day brings for Godfrey, Glory and the future of their children.
As is the custom in Tanzania the groom will need to not only raise the dowry for this union to occur, but to also to solicit the support of family and friends to cover the expenses of the day which include hosting the bride's family, the costs of the religious ceremony, rental of the reception hall, decorations, photography, music and MC, food and drink as well as wedding clothes for the couple and hair salon for the bride.
Godfrey and Glory have shared their budget with me and have restricted their guests list to ensure this event can occur with all COVID precautions in place.
Many of you know that Godfrey is like a son to me and a brother to Irene, Jimmy, Souhalia, Wahabou, Erick, Joseph, Julius, Winstone, Gafarou, Loic, Mouidine, Steve, Kamil, Albert, Thierry, Marc, Issiakou, Micheal, Sunday, Roland, Tito, Jesse, Larry, Vishnu, Stan, Freylin, Thamer, Jonty, Daniel, Mohammed and last but not least Jjemba. Please help us in wishing them all the best on their wedding day.
Thank you for your wishes and your contributions.
Don
