As many of you know, seven years ago, after 20 years of marriage, my husband left. Since then, we’ve been trying to handle the separation in good faith while the divorce moved through the courts.
However, in late February, he was laid off, and last week he told me he can only cover my rent this month. After that, I’m on my own financially (until we can get things finalized in court).
As an additional result of his layoff, my COBRA insurance ends May 31st. Without it, I’ll lose access to care and medications for several chronic illnesses, including Rheumatoid Arthritis, Crohn’s Disease, Mast Cell Activation Disorder, Fibromyalgia, and Long COVID.
And I just learned my attorney is retiring right before an upcoming court date tied to the divorce.
I hate asking for help, but right now I truly need it.
Donations will help cover rent, utilities, groceries, medical expenses, toiletries, and legal costs while I try to stabilize my situation.
If you can donate, share, or send encouragement, I would be deeply grateful.
Thank you for any help you can offer.
Love you all,
Joy
