Dear Friends and Family

I apologize for not making this news public sooner but this has been very difficult for me and I needed to have some time to collect myself.  During the storm a couple of nights ago, my partner Danny Cruz was involved in a serious car accident.

His Honda Accord was T-Boned by an oncoming SUV smashing into his driver’s side door. Danny suffered a lot of internal bleeding and was rushed into emergency surgery resulting in his spleen being removed.

His wonderful Surgeon said the surgery went well and expects that due to Danny’s health and fitness, he should make a total recovery.  The party in the SUV that T-boned his car are fine. They had no injuries and we are just blessed that Danny’s own injuries were not worse. As you might imagine, his car (his pride and joy) was completely totaled.  As many of you know, Danny is the "perpetual optimist" and will face all of the upcoming challenges head on.

But sometimes in life when we think our lives are on an upswing, fate can throw us a nasty curve ball. The recovery will be slow for him over the next few weeks and his insurance unfortunately does not cover replacing his car. And without a reliable vehicle, he is unable to continue as a caregiver for the elderly and volunteering in our community.

Danny is known for his kindness and willingness to help others who are in need. Whether volunteering to help out at different theatre shows, running errands for friends in need or just being the guy everyone can count on to show up when needed. He has such a wonderful network of friends and close family.

I am hoping that you will find it in your hearts, if you are financially able to do so, to contribute to his GoFundMe Campaign.

The money will go to help with any unforeseen rehab  expenses and putting a down payment on a reliable car so when he has recovered, he can go back to doing the work he loves, caregiving for the elderly and charitable volunteer work!
