Hi, my name is Stephanie and I am fundraising for my brother in love(law) Israel Seth Smith(30) on behalf of my sister Brittni Darlene Smith(31) and their 2 pleasant daughters, Naomi Jayde(9) and Isabella Darlene(nearly 5) along with their sweet and smart son Gabriel Isaac(28 months). Israel is currently in the Neuro ICU at the Memorial Herman hospital in Houston, TX. He is currently on a ventilator helping him breath due to the damage that was done to his brain from a 22 bullet. He finds himself in this extremely heartbreaking circumstance, in need for medical care without insurance as they are currently waiting for Medicaid to come through. The hospital is located 1.5 hours away from the family’s cozy home where they’ve called home for just over the past 6 months. Brittni can certainly use the assistance of GOD’s people during this time, which is the most difficult thing a family can even begin to imagine. I’d like to step back and tell you about the everlasting, whirlwind love story they share. They met back in 2016 fell madly in love and married only 3 months later! He was everything I prayed for, for my sister &Naomi who was only 3 years old at the time. She was the most pleasant baby girl you’d ever met. Each detail about Israel fit the puzzle piece they were missing in life. He worked at the Credit Union going on 5 years. Always working so hard to achieve his goals! He even started his own lawn & pressure washing business! He was passionate about building others up and him and Brittni even would sing Christmas carols to the elderly in the nursing homes each year.
My sister served at Greenwood Baptist for more than 3 years as the secretary and media specialist. She also had a passion for feeding homeless and street evangelism. She always cared for and took people into their home before that others wouldn't even look twice at. As their family continued to grow my sister served as a nanny for a total of 11 years, always juggling her little blessings and the other families kids as well. She extended herself as a caregiver for the disabled, foster children, and children with troubled pasts. The Lord put on her heart to launch her own childcare called Integrity Builders which is a goal that Israel always supported her towards making happen one day.
Israel was leading worship at the Oasis church and Brittni sung in the choir. Oasis is like no other church I’ve ever been to! The community there is filled with some of the most powerful prayer warriors I’ve ever known! You always felt God moving mountains within their services! That is the place Israel and Brittni had their wedding reception. The place they shared vows to always love one another! It was beautiful watching their relationship grow closer as they worshipped along side each other. Faith brought them together and God was in the center of their relationship! They knew they wanted to grow their perfect little family with all the love they each had to share. Along came Isabella with such sassiness and then Gabriel with this sweet tenderness, just a few short years of being married and they couldn’t be happier. Israel is such a wonderful dad, all the kiddos just love spending time with him! &Brittni is the absolute most loving, caring, mother I’ve ever seen! We could all take a page out of her book, she is such a natural!
The job that brought Israel and the family to Texas unfortunately came to an end for Israel which is a reason why he may of became spiritually weak. So as life went on Israel started to experience spiritual warfare and the enemy spoke lies in his ears that he wasn’t enough for his family. &Since they traveled and moved around a bit Israel became isolated as time went on. God led their family around the map which eventually ended them up in Texas to follow a good opportunity for Israel, building solar panels. However, eventually he ended up loosing his position with the company. Within their time in Texas they got connected to an amazing church where they had the support and guidance of some wonderful people. Brittni worked in the children’s classrooms and Israel was using his beautiful voice to continue glorifying the Lord.
However, the spiritual warfare within his mind was weighing stronger than anyone had realized and he took a gun to his head early Saturday morning. Leaving many loved ones struggling to understand why this has happened. But one thing we do know is God is bigger than everything! &We are all coming together praying for Him to work a miracle and fully restore and heal Israel where he will have the strongest testimony to share when he fulfills his ultimate dream of becoming a counselor. Then he will have the opportunity to glorify God and bring many to salvation. Please come along side us and lift Israel’s name and family up and continue to glorify GOD with Israel.

SETH Means: "put," "anointed," "compensation," or "appointed." In the Bible, Seth was the third son of Adam and Eve — a replacement for Abel after his brother Cain killed him.
