January 17 2021, my heart literally stopped beating for a moment when I heard the news that my brother was in a horrible car wreck and was in the hospital with a severe spinal cord injury. Those emotions that ran through me that day are ones I will never forget. My brother survived a horrendous car wreck because of one reason...God almighty. We may never know the reason why some are kept on earth and some are called home, but God has made it clear that he needed my brother on earth. Although he cannot walk right now, he's here, he has his mind, his spirit and his precious soul and I've been thanking the Lord everyday for giving us more time with Cedric.
I pray daily that my brother finds peace with his new reality. Unfortunately, our society does not make that an easy process and with his accident happening in another state, more barriers than normal are preventing him from getting the full care that he needs right now.
He was released from rehab in California with the idea that he would get services in Texas but with insurance problems and disability taking forever to go into effect, precious time is slipping away; a critical component to his recovery.
If you knew my brother, you'd know he's a self less, kind hearted person and he's always there when you need him. Which is why it's taken me so long to write this post; the last thing he'd ever do is ask for help... but MY BROTHER NEEDS HELP. From the specialized equipment to other medical necessities, Cedric needs a lending hand...from anyone who believes in his future and healing.
I ask you today if you can help, even if its just a dollar, my family and I would be more than grateful for your donation. We truly believe God kept my brother alive because he has major plans for him. Your donation will help foster that plan and get him back on track.
