God left her here with us for a purpose.
Patty Lively has been a exceptional nurse for 25 years. Taking care of people runs in her veins from taking care of patients, her kids, and her grandkids. Up until recently she has never worked a 40 hour week, it’s always been more. Dedicating her life to nursing. Some people work to live, Patty lives to work. Her love and compassion for nursing has been her drive for living.
Since 2018 she has been on her own medical journey. February 2018 she struggled with hemorrhages from uterine fibroids. She had a hysterscopic in which she almost bled to death, they used a medicine called Tranexamic Acid; after 2 weeks of taking this she stopped bleeding and returned to work after several blood transfusions. May 16,2018 while at work she had a pulmonary embolism which shut the heart down completely and for 8 long minutes she was dead but her coworkers never gave up performing CPR till rescue squad arrived and brought her back with a total of 3 times with the defibrillator. For days she remained on a vent and hypotherapy, doctors had told her children that Patty had no brain activity. Meanwhile Patty was having a conversation with God, friends and family were praying hard. God had bigger plans for Patty and her work here on earth was not done. Her purpose for returning to us has not yet been revealed by God. July 4, 2018 she returned to work where she had died just a few months before.
She was back living to work and provide for her patients. On December 24th 2019 at 0300 am she woke with her heart being in full blown atrial fibrillation, with heart rate of 158. Although her heart was running a marathon in her chest she got ready and went to work. She worked 17 hours and that was the last day she worked. She was hospitalized in January and February her heart remained in Afib, CHF, and a flutter even with medication. June 1, 2020 she returned to the hospital for a right side ablation to her heart. The doctors are unable to perform a left side ablation which is needed but she has a myxoma cardiac tumor. Her heart is functionally still weak but her heart for nursing and her patients is still strong. She wants to return to work but can’t right now, she is still healing. She needs to rest but the stress of finances is adding weight to her heart and mind. I want her to heal and not worry about finances. I love this lady like she was my own mother and if I could I would give her my whole heart.
If you are able to give anything it is appreciated, if you are not able to give and have made it this far reading her story. Her message to all is God has a purpose for all of us. Don’t give up on God or his purpose he has for you on Earth. God is real and in times of need God will show up and show out! Love to all.
