Help Momo to Help Reina

Momo is a female toy poodle which came to our house for my daughter's birthday.　My daughter has been having rare malignant brain tumors since she was two years old. She has had three brain surgeries and a couple radiation therapy. When my daughter had her second surgery at Presbyterian Children’s Hospital in New York, a therapy dog named "Tosca" visited my daughter and sat on her bed the day after the surgery. My daughter had been crying for a long time, but Tosca was the dog that brought a little smile to my daughter’s face. Two years later, on my daughter’s birthday, her long-awaited dog arrived. Her name is Momo (which means Peach in Japanese), but unfortunately, Momo has been found to have an abnormality in his urethra and cannot control his urine discharge. We had her insurance, but everything was a precondition, which means nothing was covered for her treatment. 　

My daughter said that she would fight from her cancer and she wants to have surgery to fix Momo's urethra abnormality as well. She dreamed of having her own dog and one day Momo will be a therapy dog to help people who are fighting with illness. Like she had a nice feeling from Tosca in the hospital bed. But her Momo had also a medical problem. Momo recently has been repeating her urinal infection due to her urethra abnormality. Momo wears a diaper every day, but she can't sleep in my daughter’s bed because she keeps leaking from the diaper during the nighttime. Momo’s vet referred us to Cornell University Veterinary Specialists, where we were told that Momo needs the Cystoscopy test first and cost $3,200 and then the surgery would cost $7,000 to $10,000 to fix Momo’s condition. I really want to give my daughter hope if she can get more power for fighting her disease. I have a strong feeling that if Momo gets to be cured, my daughter’s illness also is cured with a new future treatment. I want to make it happen and asking for everyone’s help.

ももちゃんは、娘の誕生日に我が家にやってきたトイ・プードルのメスです。 娘は2歳の時から珍しい悪性の脳腫瘍を患っています。これまでに3回の脳外科手術と数回の放射線治療を受けています。娘がニューヨークのプレスバイテリアン小児病院で2回目の手術を受けたとき、手術の翌日に "トスカ "というセラピー犬が娘を訪ねてきて、ベッドに座ってくれました。娘はずっと泣いていましたが、トスカは娘に小さな笑顔をもたらしてくれた犬だったのです。それから2年後、娘の誕生日に待望の犬がやってきました。名前はモモといいますが、残念ながらモモは尿道に異常があることが判明し、尿の排出をコントロールできません。保険に加入していましたが、すべて前提条件となっており、治療費は一切出ませんでした。　

娘も癌と戦うので、モモの尿道異常も手術で治して欲しいと願っています。娘は自分の犬を持つことを夢見ていて、いつかモモがセラピー犬になって、病気と闘っている人たちを助けてくれる。彼女が病院のベッドでトスカに癒されたように。 モモは最近、尿道の異常から尿路感染症を繰り返しています。モモは毎日オムツをしていますが、夜になるとオムツから尿が漏れてしまうため、娘のベッドで寝ることができません。 モモのかかりつけの獣医さんからコーネル大学の獣医学専門医を紹介されましたが、モモにはまず膀胱鏡検査が必要で、費用は3,200ドル（32万円）、そしてモモの症状を治すための手術には7,000ドル(70万円）から10,000ドル（100万円）かかると言われました。   私は、娘が病気と闘うための力を得ることができれば、娘に希望を持たせてあげたいと思っています。 ももが治ったのなら、娘の病気も未来の新しい治療法で治るのではないかという強い思いがあります。  皆さんのお力をお借りしたいと思います。
