Goatpacking for Maine's Environmental Future!
Tax deductible
Hello all!
I am a senior at Freeport High School in Maine and have been fortunate enough to be allowed an opportunity to do a “senior project" as a part of my senior year.
I have decided to teach goats how to go goatpacking and go hiking with them to raise money for the Maine Conservation Alliance, which is a nonprofit organization that is focused on advocating for the environmental protection and conservation of the state's land, water, wildlife, and climate future!
I have been working with goats for 2 years and have developed a general understanding of how to show and work with goats. Although I want to expand these skills by learning how to teach goats to do things out of my comfort zone, and build my confidence with handling goats outside of the show ring. In this project, I want to teach goats how to be pack animals. I'm hoping to eventually use these skills to branch out to other things, such as teaching goats to pull a cart or be a therapy animal.
Your support will make a direct impact on the conservation of the state's land, water, wildlife, and climate future led by the Maine Conservation Alliance. They collaborate with local organizations and environmental groups to promote sustainable practices and to address the most pressing environmental issues that Maine faces.
Thank you for your time and support!
