Goalie Gear and Hockey Fees for the Patel Family

Hi, my name is Misty Nielsen, and I am asking for your support to help a WYHA hockey family. Falguni Patel is a wife and mother to three kids in the hockey community. She was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer earlier this year, and is currently undergoing treatment locally and at the Mayo clinic.

Her daughter, Meera, and my daughter have played goalie together for the past 4 years. As you all know, kids grow and need bigger equipment. Hockey equipment is expensive, and goalie gear is even worse. I am raising money to help Meera get the goalie equipment she will need for the season. The first thing she will need are leg pads, which can run $500+.

Besides the financial burden of a cancer diagnosis, the time commitment needed must be equally challenging. I'm sure hockey equipment isn't the family's first priority, so I'm hoping we can take this one thing off their plate.
