This November, Dundee University Women’s Football Team is taking on a huge challenge — running 1,000 kilometres collectively as a team to raise money for Save the Children and to support our club. ❤️
We’re swapping football boots for running shoes and taking to the streets throughout November. Each player will be running (or walking!) 10km per week to help us reach our team goal of 1,000km — because every kilometre counts!
Our fundraising efforts will be split 50/50:
- Half will go to Save the Children, helping provide vital support for children around the world — giving them the chance to grow up healthy, safe, and with access to education.
- The other half will go towards our club, helping us continue to grow, develop our players, and create more opportunities for women in sport at Dundee University.
All funds will be paid to the club account, and half will be donated to Save the Children!
We’ll be tracking all our kilometres on Strava, posting weekly updates on social media, and finishing off with a group run on November 29th to celebrate everyone’s efforts.
We’d love your support — whether that’s through donating, sharing our page, or cheering us on! Together, we can make a difference for both our community and for children around the world — one step at a time.
