We welcomed our beautiful baby boy on December 1, 2015. Aaron is everything we wished and prayed for as long as we can remember. Unfortunately, during the birth of our son I suffered multiple birth injuries. In order to correct these injuries and to avoid life long and life altering complications I needed to have surgery which was performed on December 10, 2015, when our son was only 9 days old. Recovery from the surgery was over four months and during that time I was unable to sit upright and because of this I had to rely on other things in order to keep Aaron safe. During this time Aaron developed Positional Plagiocephaly (flat head syndrome). Over the past four months we have seen many doctors and specialists and the conclusion is that we need a Cranial Remolding Orthosis to correct this problem. While it may not seem like a big deal Positional Plagiocephaly has the potential to negatively impact our precious boy later on in life. The orthosis offers us a 100% chance of correction but it is expensive. Our insurance has denied us due to plan exclusion and with myself unable to work, in order to keep the birth injuries from reoccurring, we need help to be able to pay for this for our son.
