On July 9th, my dear friend Pam told me she had been diagnosed with stage 3 Breast cancer. I remember my heart aching for not only her but the journey her whole family was about to start. Pam is an amazing upbeat, strong person and her response was, "Good news is I caught it early, I'm young and healthy! So it's going to be a long hard road but I WILL be just fine!" She has had such an amazing and positive attitude right from the start. Her family and friends have all been so supportive with childcare, cleaning, and well wishes. She is half way through her chemo treatments but then she will still have surgery and radiation to go through. Hopefully, by next September, she will be well on her way to healing and getting back to all the volunteering and activities she loves. Until that day when we can celebrate with her, let's continue to support in all the ways she needs. One of the ways we can help is financially. Cancer is not cheap. As if it's not enough for their family to deal with emotional, physical and social changes having cancer brings. Pam and her family are starting to feel the financial burden of Cancer. Would you please join me in supporting Pam, Norm and the girls by giving a donation to help ease these costs? The truth that all of you know, that count this family as friends -is they would do whatever they could to support you. Let's pay it to them, knowing they will pay it forward.
