Hi! I am Luke,

I am a South African who moved to Ireland in 2018. I am 22 years old and I have a story: God took me from my brokeness, my suffering and my depression and He gave me a new identity - Child of God, Loved by the Most High, His. I don't want to be selfish anymore, I want to share The Gospel with others.

Looking back, I was always an "old soul", because as a 9 year old, I much preferred to accompany my mom to adult church. One Sunday they were appealing to the church to donate towards a missions trip to Haiti. The footage and mission appealed so much to me, that I asked my mom to please donate my entire savings. It wasn't much, but for a young child it was a substantial amount. In hindsight, God had already planted the passion for mission work in 2012!

Fastforward to 2023 and this passion to spread The Word and help others in the name of Jesus, was reignited. This year I started expressing this to my mom. I went to a conference called The Send and filled in a form about my desire to make myself available to God to advance His Kingdom. Two weeks later my mom told me about YWAM (Youth with a Mission) and how her friends recommended it for me. This was the first time I heard of it. The next day, out of the blue, I got a call from YWAM in Yosemite California to ask if I would be interested in joining their program. I felt a sense of confirmation, joy and excitement that this is what God has planned for me.

After a week of communicating back and forth I found out I need a total of €11,000... (€10,000 for the actual YWAM and €1,000 to get to the US). My heart sank as I need it by September. I then started to recall miracles Jesus did in the Bible like the feeding of the 5,000 families and all His promises for me and us as Christians, so I paid the deposit. I'm all in! I have increased my shifts at work, and reworked my budget, but despite this, it's mathematically impossible, and I'm in need of a miracle.

I believe Jesus is doing something new globally and I want to be part of it. It would be a blessing if you could please support me in this endeavour. I plan on uploading a video every 2 weeks to show those who want to join me in my journey the amazing, jaw-dropping and mind-blowing things I expect to witness and experience.
