Go USA! Let's show Jenny that she will now and always have TEAM USA on her side. We believe in “US” as we believe in our frontline healthcare workers during this challenging time.
This GoFundMe is for our friend, Jenny Thompson, former US Olympic swimmer and current anesthesiologist in South Carolina. While Jenny has proudly represented our country in 4 Olympic Games, her greatest honor has been as a doctor helping others. She is on the front lines with other doctors doing all she can to care for those fighting for their lives against COVID-19. Risk of infection is especially high with her team of critical care doctors. Trained in acute care, especially airway issues, they have to interact closely with with their patients. This is a daunting and dangerous task and Jenny and her brave colleagues need help collecting protective gear. As critical care doctors trained in In the last week they have been scrambling to piece together purchases on their own in anticipation of their high risk patients. There are few N95 masks and other protection available for Jenny and her coworkers.
Jenny shared her hardship with us as her friends, and we have already sent her some supplies. We're asking for you to join the team in helping solve this problem.
Please consider donating in support of Jenny and her anesthesia colleagues. Your support goes directly towards securing N95 masks, goggles, gloves, protective shoe covers, visors with face shields, gowns, Tyvek full body suits with hoods, all the necessary armor for them to have a fighting chance to protect themselves from disease and save as many lives as possible. All donations will be collected in Jenny’s fund so we can make purchases quickly and in bulk as we continue to discover new suppliers ramping up the production of proper protective equipment for this crisis.
