Go Gourd, GO!
This is Gourd. She injured her knee about a year ago which caused rapid onset of arthritis and contraction of her joint. Despite our best efforts to maintain her flexibility through daily physical therapy, she lost her ability to fully use her leg to walk.
While surgery to remove her leg was an option, we did not believe that was the BEST option for Gourd.
We recently learned there was a chance for her to be fitted with a prosthesis to regain her independence and we jumped at the opportunity. Thanks to Derrick Campano, Founder of Bionic Pets and The Wizard of Paws, Gourd now has a custom fitted prosthesis! She has regained her independence and is one happy goat!
We are raising funds to pay for her prosthesis and hope her story will help others in need.
