Hi, my name is Harley, and I am a queer disabled woman. I am fundraising to cover emergency vet bills for Meep, my 16 year old cat. I have had Meep since he was born (baby photo attached) and have cared for him more than half of my life, so he is definitely a part of the family. On Sunday 15 June 2025, Meep became unable to walk, was refusing to eat/drink and was screaming in pain, so I rushed him to the emergency vet hospital where he underwent hospitalisation, observation, x-rays and pain management consultations. He was diagnosed with Lower Motor Neuron disease as a result of lesions on his ilial wing, which is likely caused by a degenerative disease or bone cancer.

Thankfully, I was able to collect him the next day and he is now eating, drinking and walking again, but he will require further consults and medication for the rest of his life. Usually I cover all vet bills, medication, prescription food and other expenses for Meep myself, however two weeks ago I was made redundant from my day job, so I am struggling with the recent vet bills. So far I have paid £1,366.75 (receipts attached) on Meep's care, however I have a further appointment on Monday with more tests to be done as well as ongoing prescription charges for his medication.

I am hoping to raise £1,400 to cover these costs and to make sure I am still able to afford rent, bills and food for myself and Meep, as well as my other cat Pickle who is Meep's best friend. Any donations would be much appreciated, thank you in advance for your support x
