Go Fund Me for Steve Ranney Jr.

This “Go Fund Me” is for Steve Ranney Jr. , a lifelong resident of Laingsburg, MI. Steve has helped so many people in & around Laingsburg as a friend, neighbor and mechanic, and now his life has been turned upside down. 

Steve recently suffered a spinal stroke that has left him paralyzed from the waist down. After being hospitalized for several weeks, he was sent to Mary Freebed for rehabilitation to strengthen his upper body and to learn how to live with paralysis. Steve made remarkable progress and was able to be discharged days before Christmas.

As one would imagine, adjusting to the “new normal “ of bed rest and being in a wheelchair has been difficult. Steve and Della left the house they had built to now live with family as they work through their new handicapped living arrangements. Through all of this, you never hear complaints from Steve as he faces the challenges of each day. 

Although they have have medical insurance, there are many co-pays and necessities that aren’t covered, and the loss of work has hit their finances quite hard. This page has been set up to assist with medical and living expenses that Steve and Della now face.
