Hello, I’m Dana LeBlond and this is my grandson, Nash. Some of you may already know him and some may not. But, by the grace of God and against all odds he is here with us today. He was born with some severe health issues that will require quite a few surgeries in first his few years of his life and possibly into adulthood. Nash has just underwent his first surgery to help correct his bilateral cleft lip. The doctors at U of M are going to help improve his already beautiful smile and in the future, surgically repair his palate. Next up, for this little guy ( JUNE 3rd) the doctors at U of M are going to perform their first surgery on his heart. Nash will have open heart surgery to repair his tetralogy of fallot (TOF). Depending on how that surgery goes, it may not take very many more before he has a heart just like yours. I know what I have just told you sounds scary and sad, so as you can imagine, it’s been very difficult on his mommy and daddy physically, emotionally and financially. His mommy, Shelbi ( LeBlond ) Swiatoschik who works as a manager at the Heathers Club in Bloomfield and his daddy, Kevin Swiatoschik ( “K-Swat” ) is a shift leader for the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department. Both need to take time off work to take Nash to all of his many doctor appointments and stay in Ann Arbor when he’s in the hospital at U of M for long periods of time. But with your help, it will make things a little easier for his mommy and daddy. The doctors are confident that after they start on his cleft repair and he undergoes his first heart surgery, they will be able to address any of the other health issues Nash may have. So me, his mommy, his daddy and our entire family would like to thank you for any donation you give. Most of all, thank you for all of your prayers, well wishes and for helping Nash with his recovery and being a part of his life forever.
