I’m one of Ashley’s friends, Bel, creating this GoFundMe on her behalf.

Ashley’s been living in her childhood home of Maui since Covid, and she’s built a beautiful life there.

Without warning, the Lahaina fire took her home, her life as she knew it and has scarred her community in ways that aren’t yet fully known but will be felt for years. She lost her home, her clothes, her photos, her family heirlooms and so much more that can’t be quantified.

Her neighbors are still looking for loved ones, unsure whether their friends and family members are still alive – and they’re mourning those who didn’t escape. Communities have been leveled by this disaster, and everyone who’s been effected is now scrambling to get much-needed supplies and shelter.

Ashley’s choosing to stay on the island and do what she can to rebuild her home – but she needs help.

So, we’re raising money to help Ashley rebuild and stabilize after all this trauma. She needs a deposit for a new place, along with money to get furniture and appliances – and money to take care of herself day-to-day, get therapy, etc. She’s lost everything and she’s facing a mountain of costs just to rebuild – and help her community rebuild.

Please. Please, consider donating whatever you can while she begins to heal herself, help her family and rebuild her community. If you know Ashley, you know she’d do the same for you.
