Go Captain! Help George recover from a stroke

Who this will help

On December 22, 2023, our business partner at ROI Commercial and close friend for 17 years had a massive stroke. Sherri Burriss and Billy Way are setting up this fund to help their partner and his family get through this terrible tragedy and help alleviate the mounting medical bills and future rehab expenses.

Why I'm fundraising

George has three children to support and his wife also works. His youngest son has Type 1 diabetes and they both have worked hard to raise money for JDRF. Now it is time we support them as George fights for his life and his ability to recover fully from this devastating stroke. George has always given himself to help others and I know so many of his friends and family want to help support our Captain so he can come home to his wife and sweet children.

The impact of your support

George has been fighting hard to make progress but we know this will be a long and hard process. His wife, Alston, needs to be there for George but also be there for her children. The funds raised will be used to help her not have to worry about the additional expenses of his medical care and related expenses of rehab that may include being away from home. More than financially, we ask that you continue to pray for God to fully heal George. Thank you so much for loving him and his family!
