Our family has been friends with Cory and Liz long enough that our kids don’t remember not knowing each other. But the thing that forged our friendship was praying together (for a few years!) that God would grow our families by giving us each a fourth child.

And, in God’s goodness, He did.

A few years later, we were praying for their 4th for different reasons: Meyer had brain cancer.

After a long and brutal fight, 5-year-old Meyer got to see and celebrate four years of being cancer-free!

Until three weeks ago when a routine check-up revealed that Meyer’s brain cancer had come back. He’s nine now and the sweetest, spunkiest, shark-hunter you’ve ever met.
