Sarena, our “Rae” of sunshine, Reddick is facing one of the hardest battles life can throw your way and our family is reaching out to our villages to band together to help make this journey a much easier battle to fight.

Sarena is in critical condition with a diagnosis of acute liver failure and is currently on full life support while she awaits a liver transplant in San Francisco.

As many of you know, Sarena has always been the strong one, the one you know you can call whenever you needed anything, she would always find a way to help in any capacity that she could. As Sarena continues to fight, just like the fighter we know that she is, our family is coming together in hopes to make this next transition as smooth as possible for Sarena. Our fighter is not one to ever ask for help and is a very private person, however, we are here to do anything in our power to make sure she gets the love and support that she desperately needs and deserves.

Sarena is a dedicated and loving mother to her two young children, 14 and 10, and is the main provider of their home and is unable to work during this battle or recovery. Sarena maintains her own home in Elk Grove and in addition to the normal everyday life bills that continue to compile, we face one other challenge. Sarena will have to stay within a 50-mile radius of the hospital post-surgery. Currently, the apartments the hospital utilizes are at full capacity housing other transplant warriors. This leaves it up to us as a family to find and financially cover the lengthy stay in San Francisco. The family ranges from Grass Valley to Antioch, Madera, Vacaville and Fairfield all out of the range set by the hospital for her to safely recover near her medical team.
