Elijah Harts was so much more than a talented, licensed barber — he was a visionary entrepreneur, a loving father, a devoted son, and a brother to many both in and out of the barbershop, our school and beyond. He poured his heart into everything he did, every conversation, and every dream he chased. He had big goals — and he was well on his way to achieving them.

Elijah was working tirelessly to build a better future for his family -- especially his little boy, Giovanni Dennell Harts, who meant the world to him. His passion for barbering, his drive to grow multiple business ventures, and his kind, genuine spirit left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him.

Elijah’s life was tragically taken far too soon and unexpectedly when he was shot last night. No family should ever have to experience this kind of heartbreak — especially not while facing the devastating task of laying their son to rest.

He is survived by his loving family — Melissa Solomon, Kenneth Ray Mosley Jr., Bilal Solomon, and his son, Giovanni Dennell Harts.

On behalf of Elijah’s family, we at Monarch Beauty Academy are organizing this fundraiser to help them through this heartbreaking time. All donations will go directly to his mom and dad to assist with funeral and memorial expenses.
