Most of you know that I have been helping a friend through the recovery process after he suffered a massive stroke in March 2020. After a hip surgery to remove HO in early September, he is making tremendous progress in rehab. He took 4 steps in PT yesterday. The doctors told him after one year, he would not make any more progress. March will be 3 years and he is strong, healthy, and progressing daily.

Progress is beautiful. And expensive. He needs a new wheelchair because the current chair no longer works for him because he is stronger and has gained 100 lbs back to his pre-stroke weight. He needs home mods now because he can do MANY things he couldn't before and needs access to the shower and restroom now. He has been on disability since May 2020. He makes "too much" on disability to qualify for assistance. He needs exterior doors widened so his new WC will fit through the doors to access his ramp. He needs bathroom modifications. Insurance won't pay for his new wheelchair because they already paid for 2 chairs in the first 3 years. This man has fought like a warrior to get where he is today and any help would be appreciated.
