GNR for Northern Brainwave Appeal

I am running my first ever Great North Run this September in aid of a local charity, The Northern Brainwave Appeal . I am keen to support this charity based at the RVI Newcastle where a family friend has been undergoing treatment. Antony Crerar was first diagnosed with a brain tumour in March 2014 and has undergone 4 operations at the Neurosurgical unit. Antony has just received the devastating news that the tumour has returned and is inoperable. The level of care he is receiving is second to none and I want to do all that I can to raise funds to make sure that people in his position get the best possible care.
Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of UK children and adults yet receive just 1% of the national spend on cancer research.
