My name is Rowan (some of you may know me as Ruth) Draper, and I have been a professional musician for over 20 years. It has been more than just a job, it has been a passion. After getting covid last fall, however, I have struggled with its ongoing effects, including a neurological hearing condition that has forced me to resign from my job and music-making altogether.

This career loss has been sudden, and devastating. It will take time to become established in a new field, and time to navigate living with an untreatable disability. While I have a lot of privileges, this is a financially stressful time on top of an experience of immense grief. I invite any who are able and who would like to do something to contribute, to ease some of the stress of this life transition.
