Hi my name is Chris.

Originally from Birmingham now living in Devon. I run the Devon Birmingham city supporters club (Devon blues OSC ) On wednesday 23rd July I will be walking 200 miles from Paignton to Birmingham . hopefully make it back to St Andrews @knighthead Park for Birmingham city 1st fixture of the season. On 8th August against Ipswich Town.

The 2 charities are the ADAM STANSFIELD FOUNDATION & the BIRMINGHAM CITY FOUNDATION

The unprecedented support following Adam’ s death from Bowel Cancer, aged just 31, in August 2010, led to the creation of the Adam Stansfield Foundation.

Their Aim

The promotion of community participation in healthy recreation for the benefit of children and young people up to the age of 18 residing in Devon, Herefordshire and Somerset by the provision of grants and facilities for playing football.

The foundation is committed to providing charitable funds for young people, schools and youth football teams who would benefit from the assistance. Over 15 years they have supported more than 150 Primary Schools. 60 Secondary schools, 550 grass roots football teams, 350 individuals, Deaf teams, Downs Syndrome teams , Ability Counts teams, Power Chair teams and many more. A total reach of over 50,000 young children.

Thery also raise awareness of Bowel Cancer in the young and promote good health to prevent the onset of this vile deisease. ( with my dad also passing away with bowel cancer) this charity hits home personaly

BIRMINGHAM CITY FOUNDATION being a brummie. Walking to Birmingham I can't forget my home Charity. Helping under privileged children and children in care helping to get children's lives back on track, and giving children and their families a better chance in life. With sport and education. And making sure a child in care gets food and the nutrition they deserve and need. ( no child should go hungry)
