Dear friends, family, and admirers of Peter Main's incredible leather artistry,

I am writing to you with a heavy heart but also with hope and determination. My name is Sarah Main, and I am the daughter of the remarkable artist, Peter Main. Many of you may know him as a skilled craftsman whose work in leather has inspired artisans worldwide. Unfortunately, in recent years, my father has been facing the challenges of a degenerative lung disease.

As my father is a proud man, he has been attempting to manage his health struggles on his own and with limited resources here in the US. I recently arrived here in Houston in early December for what I thought would be a short visit, but the gravity of the situation hit me hard. Witnessing his daily struggles and with multiple hospital visits, I realised that we need to act swiftly to ensure he receives the care he deserves.

After extensive research, I have identified a revolutionary treatment in Australia that has shown promising results for individuals with similar conditions. This treatment not only offers hope for a better quality of life but also the possibility for my dad to return to his beloved workbench. The catch is, we need to act fast.

I am here on my own, packing up his house and working to get my father on a plane to Australia within a few weeks. Unfortunately, the treatment is not fully covered by Medicare, and the financial burden is significant. That's why I am reaching out to you, his extended community, for support.
