Farmhouse cat rescue is a local TnR based program in oak hill, fl
We started out just doing TnR, but like most rescuers our hearts broke at the sights of some cats that were either too young, too nice, or injured to be in the wild. So we moved on to become a fostering and adoption program as well. As time went on we spent more time at the shelters noticing the abundance of unadoptable cats. Which once again broke our hearts
So now we are trying to create a sanctuary for the cats on Deathrow. We have located a piece of property that a kind hearted person is willing to let us use as a sanctuary. Our goal is to clean up the property and start pulling cats from Deathrow out of the shelter and give them a place to call their own. We have partnered with a local shelter that has agreed not to euthanize their unadoptable cats and hold them until we can get their new home ready.
But as we all know cats come in to shelters on a daily basis and they can only hold off for so long.
So we are reaching out to everyone to see if you can help us raise the funds needed to provide a Sanctuary for the unadoptable cats in the area.
The photos are of the housing accommodations. We are working on for the cats. As you see it still needs alot of work to be able to keep them dry and comfortable. Once they are acclimated to the area they will have alot of land to enjoy to themselves and be able to come and go as they please.
We are in need of more building supplies. If anyone can donate anything to us we would greatly appreciate it. If you don't have money to spare we are in need of aluminum roofing, screws, wood, etc. Please pass the word. This project is going to save many cats lives.
