Hi! My name is Jeanie Thompson, I am 18-years-old, and as you are probably guessing, I am embarking on my first exciting year of college life! I am extremely proud to announce that I am an incoming freshman at Emerson College located in Boston, Massachusetts, and I will be studying Media Arts Production.
Right now, I am a low-income student with very, very limited financial resources. Although I have been awarded with a few gracious academic scholarships from Emerson that do accommodate my education, room and board is costly and unfortunately not included in my aid. This is my primary financial burden as I transition to living on-campus for the fall term.
It has been my dream to attend Emerson; it has also been my dream to study filmmaking and create work that I am proud of. I’ve received so much support from family, friends, even faculty at this prestigious institution, however, any additional and external financial support that could be provided right now would help me greatly.
All donations/contributions to this fundraiser will automatically fund necessary expenses while I am on campus (this includes room and board, groceries, class supplies, textbooks).
