The Winter Solstice, December 21st, marks the longest, coldest night of the year. A powerful symbol for the struggle faced by those experiencing homelessness and mental health challenges.
At the Great Minez Mental Wellness Collective (GMMWC), we are committed to being the force that Restores the Light by providing the foundation for stability, hope, and healing.
We are a groundbreaking non-profit dedicated to breaking barriers to stable housing for our most vulnerable neighbors in Greater Los Angeles County: veterans, transition-aged youth (TAY), and high-functioning dependent adults struggling with homelessness, addiction, or mental wellness issues.
We don't just provide shelter; we provide holistic renewal:
- Stable Housing: A safe, consistent foundation.
- Trauma-Informed Care: Healing past wounds and building mental wellness.
- Independent Living Skills: Equipping individuals with tools for long-term self-sufficiency.
This holiday season, as we celebrate our official launch, we are asking you to join us in making this renewal possible.
The Purpose: Why We Need Your Help to Light Up 4 Families
Our immediate goal is to raise $1,000 by December 21, 2025, which will allow us to directly assist 4 families with $250 each during our Winter Solstice Give-Back Event.
This $250 per family provides critical holiday support for those transitioning from homelessness into stability, ensuring they feel warmth, hope, and community cheer this season.
Every dollar raised will go toward providing the essential items needed to turn a house into a home and sustain the stability that GMMWC works so hard to create.
Beyond the Dollar: Product and Service Donations
We are also actively seeking product and service donations from businesses to use in an auction at our Winter Solstice event. This is a fantastic way for companies to gain visibility and contribute non-monetarily to our $1,000 goal.
