If you knew Max, you knew how special he was.

Maximilian was a joyful, happy, brilliant little boy who loved life in the purest way. He found happiness in the simple things: being with his siblings, playing the drums and guitar, swimming, garbage trucks, bike rides, sports of all kinds, blowers and weedwackers, parks and his morning walks. At bedtime, he never went to sleep without his favorite “chilly pillow,” a small comfort that meant everything to him. His laughter, curiosity, and light filled every room he entered.

On December 19th, our family experienced an unimaginable tragedy. A sudden accident occurred, and his mother along with neighbors from the community did everything they could to save him until EMS arrived. Max was airlifted to Sarasota Memorial Hospital and later airlifted again to Tampa General Hospital, a Level 1 Trauma Center.

Despite extraordinary and tireless life-saving efforts, and after coding more than seven times, our sweet Max joined Christ in paradise on his 3rd birthday, December 20th, at 5:09 a.m.

His parents are devastated beyond words and deeply traumatized. Together they are trying to navigate this unbearable loss while caring for their three other young children who have lost their baby brother.

As a family and community, we are coming together to support the Jensen family through this horrific event. The financial burden that follows a tragedy like this is overwhelming. There are funeral and memorial expenses, extremely high medical bills from two hospitals, two emergency airlift flights, and extensive trauma procedures. We are also surrounding Sandra and Nicholas with support as they grieve and care for their children during this painful time.

In working on the funeral planning & also meeting with the hospital, I found out the conservative amount this will all be.

If you are able to help in any way, Sandra and Nicholas would be forever grateful. They are beautiful, kind, and compassionate people always the first to help others in times of need. Now, it is our turn to surround them with love, support, and care.

Thank you for honoring Maximilian’s life and for holding this family close in your hearts. God bless.
