On September 1st at 7am our sweet Lucy had a grand Mal seizure. We rushed her to Oklahoma Veterinary Specialists Emergency Room. Since she was so healthy and all vitals were normal they sent us home to monitor her.
September 2nd at 12am she had another grand Mal seizure, so we took her back to the ER and they prescribed her anti seizure medication. She was responding really well to it until September 4th around 11am she started having what they called “micro” seizures. We spent several hours at the ER and decided to go ahead and check for a Brain Tumor. $5,000 due immediately. If there was no tumor they would do a spinal tap to check her for Meningitis.
After two long hours the Dr. finally came in and said three words I will never forget. “NO BRAIN TUMOR”. As we wait for the results of the meningitis we try to figure out how we are covering the cost for the rest of her stay at the hospital.
We have drained all savings to pay for the CT Scan alone.
