Felix is only 4 years old, and has already experienced some of the hardest things an animal should ever go through. He has moved homes multiple times (to no fault of his previous owner’s or his own), lost his previous family, and has now faced near death. Felix was adopted by my husband and I only 7 months ago, and he has become such a presence in our home, our hearts, and our lives. We are blessed he found his forever home with us.
This week, Felix had to have a life saving surgery to remove enlarged lymphnodes in his abdomen that were killing him as a result of an underlying suspected condition, FIP, that is almost always fatal. However, there is a medicine shown to help save cats from FIP, but it is difficult to acquire and quite expensive. As newlyweds who are facing the challenges of student loan debt, the ever changing economy, and this heartbreaking, extremely sudden shock to our world, things are quite tight. Felix’s surgery alone cost over $7,000.
We want nothing more than to have this little man around a while longer, which we hope we can do with your help. Anything helps, and if we can raise enough, we may be able to get Felix the help he needs, and/or make up some of the financial loss we’ve suffered caring for him.
We made a commitment to all 3 of our babies when we adopted them, and there is no sense of regret in getting Felix this surgery. We saved his life, and we want to continue to do so. If you or someone you know can assist us with this extremely challenging battle, we would be ever grateful. A share is a donation in our eyes. We love our boy more than anything in the world, and we appreciate you taking the time to read this and see how much he means to us. Thank you.
