Hi, my name is Rustin, I am fundraising for my sisters knee surgery. For the longest i can remember my sister has been competing in sports and it has been her passion since. Her as a little girl, we would always throw around a football or shoot a basketball and I could tell it has always made her happier as a person. Sports shaped her to be the person she is today and I don't know where she would be without it. She first started playing in the 9th grade, when I coached her in JR basketball, in the same year JR football. I think that's where her love for sports started. She was hooked on the contact sport of football, playing as a QB in her JR season. She remained backup QB in her rookie year in SR football where they fell short of a championship. Next season we moved to a different school and I coached her in SR football where she started at QB with a 5-2 record and another loss in the championship. That same season she left to play on an all girls indigenous football team where she did anything but slow down. Throwing over 100 yards every game, 250yards in one and 350 yards in another. She suffered a contact injury to her knee in her last game when she played on defense, hauling in one interception. She later tried out for team indigenous in a Canadian football tournament where Team indigenous would take on Team New Brunswick, Team Saskatchewan, and Team Ontario. She shined until her 2nd game in the tournament where she suffered a non contact knee injury on a QB run. That's where it ended. Her MRI scans showed a torn meniscus and a partial ACL tear. Her surgery is sometime this month and the prices are high. thank you for taking the time to read, I'm just a big brother trying to make things easier for my baby sister.
