Help Rico Recover from Accident

We had a very unfortunate and traumatic accident that occurred 1/31- my brother's dog Rico was  hit by an oncoming vehicle. We transported him to VCA Valley Animal Hospital and Emergency Center where he is being oxygenated and administered the amazing team there. They performed x-rays to check for additional trauma to his abdomen - he was bleeding from his mouth and arm. They are treating him with pain medication and oxygen since his oxygen was low but his vitals looked pretty stable otherwise. He has fluid buildup around his lungs that they determined to be blood. They were able to perform a procedure to remove the majority of it. Rico may need to stay another night for monitoring. We are praying for best case scenario and are keeping him surrounded by lots of love and positivity. The treatment plan for 24 hour stay plus additional services will cost us roughly 3973.00. They are recommending he stay an additional day and they will only hold him if we pay an additional 3000. We are asking friends and family for  help at this time. Alex has a 600 hour unpaid internship and can only work twice a week before he graduates in May. This was an unexpected emergency and anything is greatly appreciated. Thank you <3
