Donation protected
Glorn Sine passed away in his home on October 29, 2021 from pancreatic cancer, leaving behind his wife, Merilee, six children, five grandsons, and countless friends and family that loved him dearly. Everyone who knew Glorn knew him as a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
He was always ready to listen and dispense advice, always ready with a joke, always there for the people he loved, and always had a Mountain Dew in his hand. As a 29-year Army Intelligence veteran, he loved his country and its history. He also had a deep love for his Savior and bore frequent testimony of the importance of His gospel in his life. More than anything, he loved his family and spent his life trying to be the best son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather he could be.
On September 23, 2021, he was admitted for emergency surgery at IMC hospital in Salt Lake City, UT, where doctors discovered that he had large amounts of cancer throughout his small intestines. Following more surgeries, scans, and tests, he was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer and given only a few weeks to live.
He was released to hospice care in mid-October, where he was able to spend his remaining time with his family and friends. His last days were spent reminiscing, watching his favorite movies and listening to his favorite music, and using every opportunity to make everyone around him laugh. The cancer took hold quickly, causing increased pain, inability to eat or drink, and a number of other side effects. Because of his intolerable discomfort, he decided to be put under medical sedation until his passing.
Because of the suddenness of his passing, the Sine family is asking for donations to cover remaining medical expenses, including his many hospital bills and hospice care, as well as end-of-life costs. All donations will be given directly to Merilee Sine. Any and all donations are so appreciated.
