Hi my name is Melissa and I am fundraising for my dear friend Gloria. She has really been through a lot in the last few years with the death of her husband and all of her family. Now she herself has stage 2 lung cancer and has started chemo. Right as she started her chemo treatments she found out that her landlord is selling her long time home. The rent has been very affordable, and the concern is that she will not be able to find an affordable place to live. The friend group is working to help her pack and figure out a place to move, but she needs help to make it through these next few months. Gloria needs money now to be able to move and not end up homeless.

Gloria herself is a Veteran and earns about $600 a month through her part time job. I was hoping to cover her income while she undergoes treatment, and give her a down payment/first months rent for a new place. Gloria is also a longtimer in recovery and has helped a lot of people over the last 24 years. She is one of the most loving people I know.
