Over the last six years nursing students from the University of British Columbia's Okanagan campus have been involved in global health practicums which have taken place in Ghana, Zambia, and India. These placements have allowed us to create a mutual partnership with our international colleagues that works towards promoting health and well-being at a global level. 

In the past, fundraising has helped in a variety of ways such as the construction of a new medical clinic, provision of education and medical supplies, and an increase in health promotion in the community. Students who participate in this initiative cover all costs themselves and donations do not go towards their personal expenses.
