Global Refugee Health Prizes for Gaza & Ukraine

We are raising money to fund $100K in prizes for a global healthcare event focused on Refugee Healthcare and Displaced Child Protection #RefugeeHealth #ChildViolence Hackathon being held at Medical Schools and Universities around the world starting March 16, 2024. Your donations to American 501c3 non-profit Hacking Medicine Institute will fund prizes and Golden Tickets for winning teams around the world who create clever solutions using software, hardware, educational content, trauma mental health apps and services, prosthetic medical devices, surgical tools, diagnostic devices, water treatment, and malnutrition solutions for refugees.

Our organization is all volunteer and we give everything for free, having held over 200 events in over 30 countries to teach our process for medical innovation. 100% of your donation will go toward end recipients and an anonymous donor will double your gift. Funds will be spent to hold the event at university campuses around the world and your donation will fund prize-winning teams to continue building what a global panel of experts judge as highest impact projects. Any funds in excess will be used to fund Golden Ticket winners, exceptional medical and engineering students who get travel stipends to our annual MIT Grand Hack event held on the campus of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

We are usually sponsored by large corporations and foundations, and this event is the first time we have asked for small donations to fund prizes, since the corporate med tech and healthcare world have not come forth to support our latest hackathon focused on the urgent need for solutions to help Refugees and Displaced Children. Please prove that individuals around the world care about refugees and the most vulnerable children amid crisis.

This event is apolitical and meant to help NGOs and students at universities and medical schools worldwide focus on urgent problems to solve with technology and educational content. Refugee crises and disasters currently ongoing in Gaza, Ukraine, Congo, Yemen, Venezuela, Myanmar, Sudan will benefit from the solutions birthed at this event.
