Global Medical Brigade to Guatemala 2025
Donation protected
My name is Rohan, and I am a rising junior at Tufts University with a passion for medicine and community health. This summer, I have an opportunity to participate in a life-changing mission.
I am volunteering with Global Medical Brigades, an international non-profit organization, and traveling to a rural community in Guatemala to provide medical care to the locals. I will be working in a medical clinic that will include intake, triage (vital signs and symptoms), shadowing doctors, a pharmacy, and nurses with patient interaction. Guatemala faces significant healthcare challenges, with many communities lacking access to basic medical care. The group I am volunteering with will be providing medications and healthcare to people who don’t typically have it in their communities. In these regions, access to medical care is extremely limited, and many people suffer from preventable illnesses due to lack of resources. By organizing a medical camp, we can provide crucial services such as basic check-ups, vaccinations, and health education, improving the well-being of countless individuals and families.
Your donations will help cover medications that need to be bought as well as many materials and volunteer travel expenses for our brigade. The money is collected on Global Brigades' website, which is hard to navigate. Therefore, my GoFundMe is much easier to keep track of. Your contribution, no matter how small, will have a direct and meaningful impact on the lives of those we aim to serve. Whether you donate $1, or simply share this link with others, all the help I receive would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Rohan
