As of April 27th, 2020 there have been 2.97M confirmed cases of Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) worldwide. The data finally disclosed that Black, Indigenous and Native people are dying at alarming and disproportionate rates. From South America to the South Bronx, the Caribbean to Africa, Aboriginal People all over the world, and Native Americans right here in the United States, and from Ecuador to Queens, COVID-19 is impacting the most vulnerable in our communities.
On March 27th, 2020, 700 participants from all over the world attended the World Healing Lab 1st Annual Virtual Healing Justice retreat. Single mothers, elders, survivors of sexual and gender-based violence, caretakers, and first responders on the frontlines shared their biggest struggles and challenges during the quarantine.
This Global Healing Justice Fund/ El Fundo Mundial de Sancacion, Trauma y Justicia is our response to the World.
We are filling in the gap.
We hope that with your support we can stand in the gap today and beyond COVID-19. We want to provide holistic rapid response, trauma care, relief, and recovery and quickly move resources to victims and survivors on the frontlines by providing urgent essential resources, services, training, and healing.
Our healing justice model is grounded in the lived experiences of people of color, specifically women and girls of color. The World Healing Lab believes that building and sustaining the next generation of global leaders must include the creation of institutions rooted in their lived experience. Women will become active participants in their well being and declare their human right to create liberated institutions, build political power and economies controlled, led and operated by the communities they serve.
The Global Healing Lab serves as an example of such an institution. It is led by and for women and LGBT folks of color that will guide funding decisions. As healers, radical social workers, teachers, advocates, and organizers, we are grounded in the cultural, spiritual healing, transformation and recovery of our communities. As a result we are the best-equipped to respond, intervene, prevent, and meet the community needs during and in the aftermath of COVID19.
This is just the beginning of the fund. DONATE TODAY! and Join us as we raise money to support the healing of communities now and post-corona.

Women and girls and LGBT people of the Caribbean, Latin America, Central, and South America and within the United States territories are still reeling from and surviving the aftermath of both current natural and man-made disasters.
From missing indigenous women, human trafficking, and immigrants crossing borders, including asylum seekers and legal migrants in detention centers. As well as, devastating hurricanes, earthquakes, fires, and wars at home and abroad; that our communities are still fleeing, rebuilding, grieving, and recovering from.
As COVID-19 spreads globally, people living in conflict zones, refugee camps, and displaced families with limited resources are being hit the hardest. COVID-19 is exasperating and reopening all these wounds that have not yet healed. If there is anything we know, is that manmade and natural disasters/pandemics/crises and wars exacerbate gender-based violence in our communities as well.
So, as COVID 19 stands in the intersections so do you and me and what we stand for. Therefore, I couldn't think of a better way of giving back than creating a fund that stands in the gap and is ready to provide post-COVID-19 healing relief.
1. Health and Wellness: Purchase healing herbs online or other spiritual and cultural modalities and therapies
2. Self-Care and Self Defense--having to leave home or find safer spaces, get another phone, transportation or other safety/protection items
3.Tele mental health services, online counseling, trauma-informed, and survivor-centered peer support
4. Personal/Organizational Trauma Support- coaching to deal with a “new normal” or other technical/capacity healing justice and leadership support
5. Grief/Loss and Death Services- funeral /burial support/ cultural spiritual rituals
6. Healthcare/Natural/Alternative/Spiritual: hospital and doctors bills, tests etc.
7. Creatives/consultant -emergency and preventative resources to those at financial risk
8. Rebuilding efforts--mind, body, and spirit.
9. Mini-Grants- Support small community initiatives, grassroots orgs, collectives to continue to offer services
In order to increase the number of people and the support we give, we invite you to make a contribution today. We will not place geographic constraints on this campaign and welcome requests from all over the world, turtle island, Puerto Rico, and the US Territories most impacted. We are not a designated not-for-profit, we are just a circle of people that stand in the gap!
