Glitch's Treatment
Hi everyone, never in my life have I thought I'd have to make a GoFundMe... But I'd do anything for this dog. Glitch is currently in the hospital for liver issues, possibly liver failure. Her treatment is over $3000 and we paid for half of that, but anything can help right now as due to an accident that happened at work it's set back me working at all for a while. Brendan has been a hero and is footing this, but I hate that he has to. I'm not expecting a full amount on this, but it told me to put number, so here we are. I've had her for 7 whole years and we've adventured all over Arizona together. She's outlasted 3 relationships, moved three times, and visited and made friends at two different work places. People who know her know her grumbles are loud and scary, but she's harmless and super goofy. To be honest she's been my rock to ground me while I've made my life here in Arizona after leaving Hawaii... Bottom line is, anything helps for her. If you're interested in her story I'll write it out in the next paragraph.
For those of you that don't know Glitch's story she was a shelter mutt found at 3 months old in Coolidge, AZ. She was absolutely COVERED in ticks from head to toe. I remember her ears being so full of them and she had a "tick necklace" around her neck it was awful for any dog, let alone a puppy. Even after pulling hundreds of them off of her, her ears didn't even stand up, we didn't even know they stood up at all! After some TLC and a bath she perked up and went home with a coworker because I was living with one of my best friends and her family so I didn't even think of fostering, no matter how cute she was. My coworker came back the following day and we were chatting about how she was a silly dog who was playful, loved fluffy tails on other dogs, and had a weird quirk of blowing bubbles in her water bowl (her name was almost Lizzie Bubbles!). My coworker had another older dog that needed more care at the time so Glitch needed a new foster. It's a little fuzzy to remember how I asked the Fitzwilliam family if I could foster her, but basically she ended up in our pack with Toby, Athena, Buckle, Trigger, and later Lillie. It was a full house! I owe so much to that family for helping me love and raise her. She was supposed to go to rescue one day, but Momma Tina's tears convinced me to keep her in my life and I don't regret a single moment.
Working at the shelter Glitch helped me with dogs that didn't get along with others because she was so chill. Notably, Dolly (who was actually named Tilt) the poster dog for the Pinal County Animal Shelter! She didn't get along with any other dogs but Glitch! They were best friends and would hang out together at the shelter and Dolly/Tilt actually came over for a sleepover! Glitch was so great at making friends everywhere, but at the same time she didn't put up with any BS! She's gotten grumpier in her older years, but still never picks fights and is as stubborn as ever. She now lives with her two brother Nico Bolas and Benji in our apartment, visits her best friend Aurora once a month, and has a board game piece named after her!
