Hello my name is Kristy and a Whippet owner of about 49 years and a professional pet groomer for 53 years.. i am 71 I am still working grooming.. please help defray my vet costs..I am Hoping with Glimmer won't need skin grafts.

After coming home from a morning Dr checkup for myself , I walked into my house to see a trail of large blood splats on my floors and a few dog beds soaked in blood with Glimmer my whippet lying in a pool of blood on one of the beds.. At first I couldn't figure out what had happened because her leg was so black and swollen, i thought it was broken somehow.. she could not stand on that leg so I Put her in my groom shop bath tub to clean all the blood and clean the wounds. I put her up on my raised grooming table while patting her leg dry her skin and hair were sloughing off.. that is when I knew that she had been bit by a Rattlesnakethe reason for so much blood was because with the amount of swelling her skin exploded from all the pressure from the venom. I wrapped it hoping to halt the blood loss.. I took her to a close by Vet Angel Care animal Hospital that I had used in past after calling ahead to see if they had Anti-venom..was there in 10 minutes.

Before I left the house I checked to see if any of her pack were bitten.. while doing that is when I found the friggin snake on my Couch .. I lost it right then.. at first I thought it was alive because it was sliding off the couch to the carpet.. had to get my other 4 whippets out of the house so I could deal with the snake .. got a hoe and then found out that this guy was dead and kinda stiff and dried out looking.. Im figuring Glims got that snake not long after i left to my Dr. It was 111 degrees outside that day so that must be why he looked like he did.I am surprised i didn't have a heart attack

this is the long story short version.. her vet bill was so far $4299.45 and the. i have had to purchase bandages ,primary wound dressings. Wound gels around upwards of $300 i. Bandages so far. I was able to pay the vet with a CC that is just for a emergency such as this.. but the interest rate is like 23% and i already am at the top of all my credit limits on other CC's. So any donation of help would help me and my dog family so very much.

I am pretty tapped out money wise even before this tragedy happened last Wednesday.
