My name is Eduard Cristea, and for as long as I can remember, I’ve carried the weight of a battle most can’t even imagine. As a child, I fought Leukemia. It was a fight I could not have won alone. But thanks to the unwavering care, dedication, and expertise of the doctors and nurses at San Matteo Hospital in Pavia, Italy, I am here today, 11 years free from Leukemia.

I owe my life to them, to the team who did more than treat me—they gave me hope when hope seemed lost. Their support is why I’m here, standing before you now, ready to give back.

A couple of months ago, I embarked on a journey to raise awareness and funds for Blood Cancer UK. I walked 8 miles and, with the incredible generosity of others, raised £250. That success fueled my belief in the power of unity and the difference we can make together. But now, I’m taking my journey even further.

This time, I am walking 17 miles. I aim to raise £500 (approximately 600 euros) in support of those who helped me when I needed it most. But this isn’t just about raising money—it’s about helping children, like the one I once was, who are still fighting their own battles against Leukemia.

I ask for your support, not only to raise funds but to stand with me as we continue this fight. With your help, we can provide care and hope to those who need it most. Let’s honor the doctors, nurses, and researchers who gave me my life back by ensuring their work can help others. Together, we can be the reason another child gets to see their 11th year free from Leukemia.

The money you give could help children in Pavia Italy receive the help they need. The money could be given to help research the new 'CAR-T' treatment which can treat children against Leukemia and other cancers. The money can be given to raise funding for the association to provide children with more and more things. (Toys, activities, trips, food, and more...) The money given can help put funding into hospital equipment.
