For those of you that know my father, Glen George, you know how private he is. But right now, we need our village to rally around us.

On Tuesday February 18th: while on the road to Odessa, TX for work. My dad started feeling sick and vision got blurry. He was able to pull over and phone a friend. I was told the more the friend talk to him, he became disoriented. He managed to dial 911, and the EMTs were able to get to him. EMTs transported him to Junction, TX. When he arrived his blood pressure was 210/105. Unfortunately, they weren’t able to get his blood pressure down. So they made a quick decision to transfer him on Wednesday afternoon to Kerrville, TX.

The discovered doctors quickly discovered from a MRI he was having a Rt Cerebral Stroke (he suffered a stroke to the right side of his brain). They were able to stabilize his blood pressure, but the swelling on his brain wasn’t going down.

Wednesday night around 11pm they were able to locate me, to inform me the news. My mother and I rushed to Kerrville,TX to be by his side on Thursday morning February 20th. By Friday, he was transferred to a hospital in San Antonio, where a neurosurgeon performed emergency surgery to relieve the pressure and the fluid around his brain by removing part of the back of his skull. He is currently in the ICU on a ventilator and oxygen, and still fighting to recover. He is not out of the woods yet.
