Hi everyone,
My name is Roger and I’m reaching out with love and a heavy heart to ask for support for my brother, Glenn, and his family.
Glenn has been unexpectedly diagnosed with an advanced Grade 4 Glioblastoma brain tumour, and our family is still trying to process this news. Everything has changed very quickly. Glenn is currently in hospital undergoing treatment to help reduce the tumour and manage sudden symptoms.
If you know Glenn, you’ll know the kind of man he is a true Aussie farmer, hard working, strong, capable, practical, knowledgeable, but also very kind, thoughtful, humble, and always putting others first. He’s the sort of person who would do anything for his family and community, and he never asks for help.
Right now, our family is focused on supporting Glenn through treatment and ensuring that when he is well enough to come home, he can spend precious time surrounded by the people who love him most.
At the same time, life hasn’t paused. While Glenn is in hospital, his family is doing their best to keep things going, with the incredible team at Glenbernie Orchard stepping up and supporting them through this time.
Glenn’s wife Jo-Anne has been working tirelessly to hold everything together, with the support of their daughter Casey, son-in-law Callum, and son Brandon. But the emotional, physical, and financial pressure is enormous, and no family should have to carry it alone.
So many family and friends have been asking how they can help and offer love and support. This fundraiser is a way for you and Glenn’s community to rally around and help ease the load during this incredibly difficult time.
How your donation will help…
We are raising funds to support Glenn and his family with:
- Medical and treatment-related expenses
- Extra support at home, including care needs, equipment, and help with daily living when Glenn returns home
- Support for Glenn’s comfort and wellbeing, allowing him to focus on treatment and spend meaningful time at home with his family
- Immediate and unexpected costs that come with a serious illness
Every donation, message, and share will mean so much. Your support will help relieve pressure on Jo-Anne and the family, and most importantly, help them focus on what matters most right now: Glenn’s comfort, care, and time together.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for taking the time to read this, for supporting Glenn, and for being part of the community around him ❤️
If you’re unable to donate, we completely understand - sharing this page or leaving a message of love and encouragement for Glenn is just as meaningful.
With love and gratitude,
Roger Fahey
(on behalf of Glenn, Jo-Anne, Casey, Callum & Brandon)
